Education Minister praises BTC efforts

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): The Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, toured the Bahrain Teachers College and met with the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Lucy Bailey, college officials and students.

The minister praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support for the college, followed by the interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the educational system.

He stressed the importance of the academic programs of the Bahrain Training Center related to the needs of the educational field in various locations and disciplines, and ways to raise the level of performance in schools and their efficiency.

The Acting Dean of the College of Commerce and Industry briefed the minister on the latest development programs at a high level of specialized diplomas and certificates for both schools and teachers.

It discussed the importance of developing partnerships between the college and the various sectors.

The minister praised the cooperation agreement between Boston University and the Polytechnic Center and the launch of the joint master’s program in educational leadership, stressing the importance of strengthening global partnerships to support BTC programs and develop their outputs.
