Education Minister outlines HEC priorities

Manama, Jan. 7 (BNA): Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, stressed the importance of Royal Decree No. 2 of 2023 establishing the Higher Education Council.


The issuance of the royal decree will enable the council to complete the strategies and policies necessary to develop the higher education sector and improve university outputs.


He pointed out that the Council will give priority to building on the achievements and completing the implementation of initiatives and projects that serve the outputs of education and the labor market.


He pointed out that the session will focus on analyzing the reality of higher education and drawing future policies to develop it from a practical perspective.


Dr. Juma stressed that the best international practices will be adopted in the development of the higher education sector through the use of qualified educational and research expertise to provide support and advice in decision-making.


On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Supreme Elections Committee, he expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praising their support for the education sector.
