Eddie Nketiah gives Arsenal 3-2 win over Man United

London, Jan. 22 (BNA): Eddie Nketiah kept Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge on track with two goals as Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 in an exciting match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Nketiah scored the winning goal in stoppage time by back-heeling a shot from Martin Odegaard to secure a decisive victory that keeps Arsenal five points ahead of Manchester City with a game in hand.

United are the only team to beat Arsenal in the league this season and looked set to strike another blow for Mikel Arteta’s side when Lisandro Martinez equalized in the 59th minute.

But Arsenal were finally rewarded for a period of sustained pressure over the last 10 minutes, with David De Gea already denying Nketiah once from close range.

Marcus Rashford put United ahead with a long-range strike in the 17th minute, but Nikitia responded seven minutes later when he headed home Granit Xhaka’s cross into the far corner.

Bukayo Saka first gave Arsenal the lead in the 53rd minute when he collected the ball on the left flank, edged past Christian Eriksen and then curled a 25-yard shot that beat De Gea into the far corner.

But goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdal made a rare mistake when he ran into a defender when trying to collect a corner kick, and slotted the ball to Martínez, who quickly responded to score the equaliser.
