Rome, September 26 (BNA): Paulo Dybala left the field in tears shortly after scoring a goal to put Juventus on their way to a 3-2 win over Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.
Dybala has suffered a number of muscle injuries over the years and it looked as if he suffered another after coming to a sudden stop, according to the Associated Press.
The Juventus striker was able to walk out and receive sympathy from his teammates as he did, but he will miss Wednesday’s Champions League match against Chelsea.
Leonardo Bonucci converted a penalty kick and Manuel Locatelli scored his first goal for Juventus. Maya Yoshida and Antonio Candreva kept the match alive with Sampdoria.
It was an unconvincing win for Juventus and only the second of the season. The Bianconeri moved to ninth place, eight points behind Milan, the Italian league leaders.
Napoli could have a two-point advantage over Milan if they maintain their perfect record with a home win against Cagliari later on Sunday.
