What will you do:
– Prepare a sushi menu rich with different main ingredients and raw fish (eg salmon, tuna, unagi)
– Prepare all kinds of sushi including maki, nigiri and sashimi
– Choose fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (eg avocado, mango, carrot)
Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when required
Manage food preparation activities, such as boiling rice
Coordination with waiting staff to ensure proper cooking, taking into account special requests and food allergies
– Preparing appetizers, soups and salads close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
Monitor food stocks and place orders as needed
– Suggest new and recent recipes, such as sushi burger
– Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and ultimately clean up your space
Your experience and skills include:
Work experience as a sushi chef or in an Asian restaurant
Good knowledge of different types of sushi and sushi rolling techniques
– Ability to work quickly and accurately
Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
Flexibility to tolerate different shifts
– Certificate from culinary school is an added advantage
