Manama, June 9 (BNA) The Nasser bin Hamad Premier League 2022-2023 football will officially start on September 11th.
In the meantime, the first round of the second-tier football championship will be given the green light on September 8.
The Bahrain Football Association also announced that the preliminary stage of the King’s Cup will be held on September 19.
According to the BFA announcement, the first registration window for the new season will take place from June 16 to September 6.
The clubs of the first and second tiers are allowed to contract with four foreigners, without requiring the presence of an Asian among them, and a player from the “Tomooh” program, in addition to one resident player who meets the eligibility requirements according to the internationally approved regulations.
Under the AFC regulations, clubs are bound by the number of foreign players, provided that the number of foreign and resident players does not generally exceed six.
