Sells a subset of products or services directly or through partners for small and medium sized accounts. The role is a combination of a field salesperson and an in-house salesperson.
It maximizes sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within a given region. Territory may be a combination of geographic, product, industry and other customer/market dimensions. Sells to the territory directly or through partners. There is no in-house sales representative or field representative in the area covered by this representative. Uses incoming and/or outgoing techniques to identify, qualify and close new opportunities. He manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, collaborating with team members on business development, consulting, and support to uncover all customer needs. Responsible for understanding Oracle’s product offerings and competitive issues for developing solution proposals that encompass all aspects of the application. Travels to customer locations to identify/develop sales opportunities. Participates in the development, presentation and sale of a value proposition. Presentation to clients on site with C levels to negotiate and close strategic and complex deals. Coordinates with customer contacts for the purpose of managing customer relationship, identifying new opportunities and increasing sales.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex using independent judgment. Full competence in the field of special expertise. May have a leadership role in the project. Selling, customer relations and negotiation skills are highly developed.
Successful sales record. Knowledge of Oracle and/or knowledge of its competitors. Interact with C level players. Team player. Ability to hack accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travels to the client as needed. 5+ years related sales experience. BA/BSc degree or equivalent is preferred.
