CPISP concludes Candidacy Training Program

Manama, March 29 (BNA) The Crown Prince International Scholarship Program (CPISP) ​​has concluded its training for students participating in the Group 23 Nomination Program.

The internship includes part of the selection process for candidates applying for one of the ten annual CPISP scholarships.

Dr. Cynthia Gisling, Director of CPISP, commended the hard work, dedication and performance the students demonstrated during the nomination training, which began last summer in partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

Dr. Gesling presented Certificates of Achievement to the Nomination Program participants, following the end of a training day specially organized to develop team building skills at BIBF.

The training included courses in academic writing, critical thinking, and leadership.

Students were also given the opportunity to participate in Communication Development Training, which included a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leadership accredited by the UK-based Chartered Management Institute (CMI), as well as character and career path assessments.

CPISP has organized guest lectures and panel discussions with qualified professionals on academic topics, personal development, and job-related topics, as well as IELTS and SAT preparation courses for candidates.

Dr. Gesling confirmed that the last ten scholarship recipients will be selected based on their grade point average, IELTS and SAT scores, leadership training scores and critical thinking course. Candidates will include students from both public and private schools.

Dr. Gesling expressed her appreciation to the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information Affairs for their continued contribution to the programme, wishing the students success.
