Coastguard organizes first aid course


Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): The Coast Guard, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, organized the 94th course to refresh information in the field of first aid.

The course was held at the Maritime Training Pavilion, with the participation of 16 Ministry employees.

The Commander of Administrative Affairs at the Coast Guard, Colonel Aref Ibrahim Al Bosali, said that the objectives of this course come within the framework of the annual plan of the Coast Guard to raise the efficiency of its personnel and push them to perform their duties to the fullest.

The course included two phases, theoretical and practical, during which an introduction to first aid, types of bleeding, first aid box content, pulmonary resuscitation (theoretical and practical), degrees of burns and their treatment, types of fractures and their treatment, and how to use the AED.
