Talent and culture group manager

Overall responsible for preparing and implementing the talent and culture strategy for both hotels – Mövenpick Bur Dubai and Mövenpick Al Mamzar.

Main roles and responsibilities

Formulates and recommends policies, procedures and standards related to recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, employee welfare, safety and health, employee communications, industrial relations, training and development, performance management and career development in accordance with established Mövenpick and Accor guidelines as well as national and industry laws and norms and ensures that all departments comply with them
Develops and proposes plans related to the hotel’s current or future manpower requirements to ensure the hotel is properly staffed as per the expected level of business
Coordinates with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, government agencies, etc. for staff and potential recruitment sources
– Evaluates and evaluates potential employees
Formulates and recommends a sound wage and salary system, facilitating the recruitment and retention of employees in line with the Accor Recognition Kit and UAE Labor Law
Identifies, prioritizes and meets the hotel’s short- and long-term training and development needs
Reviews recommendations for employee promotions and career development by the CEO/Division Head for approval by the General Manager
– Represents the hotel in the field of collective bargaining and contacts with labor organizations and employee representations
Oversees hotel staff facilities including staff locker rooms, break rooms and staff restaurant
– Directs hotel staff activities, social and recreational activities
Directs hotel employee recognition software

Personality traits

Demonstrate leadership qualities to build strong employee engagement
– Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently
Good communicator with fluency in English and ability to communicate in the local language where the hotel operates.
Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines as well as follow up
Good understanding of what it takes to build a strong service culture
High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
Executive Presence – Confident who exudes quiet confidence and humility

Experience and qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing a HR function in the luxury hotel/hospitality industry
– Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline
Knowledge of local business law and practices
