Position: CCTV operator
Section: Loss Prevention Section
Reports to: Security Supervisor/Administrator Assistant Security and Security Manager

Job purpose

To operate and monitor all systems, including CCTV, within the control room in a professional and efficient manner. To ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information acquired through compliance with Raffles Quality Standards and Legislation.

Main roles and responsibilities

To operate and monitor all systems within the control room in an efficient manner to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with security operating procedures, legislation and the Raffles Code of Practice/Ethics.
Liaise with police, service providers and relevant internal departments to ensure proper use of the system.
Include all evidentiary records and witness statements in accordance with an acceptable standard of evidence.
– To record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate book of facts backed by custom drawing criteria format.
Providing an efficient and courteous answering service to telephone and radio calls and dealing efficiently with all inquiries.
To inform the Security Supervisor of equipment failure to maximize system operation.
Maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with the regulations set by the Protection Systems Department (Dubai Police) and to ensure that the security of the control room and equipment is maintained at all times.
Maintain the provision of information required by the Security Manager and Assistant Security Manager and assist in monitoring the CCTV system in accordance with DPS regulations and the continuity and acceptance of proof materials.
Support the Security Manager and Assistant Security Manager by providing monitoring of maintenance agreements to ensure full system provisioning.
Be aware of your health and safety responsibilities including appropriate health and safety training.
– To ensure that you approach your duties with consideration for the kind service of Raffles.
Conduct periodic checks on all “field” officers to ensure that they are vigilant and perform their duties efficiently and effectively
Assist in conducting investigations and preparing investigation reports accompanying cases that occur inside the hotel, which include:
Criminal acts, losses or accidents affecting life and property
– Misconduct of staff
Situations that affect guests or employees and are of interest to management
Hotel staff monitoring:
Ensure that they abide by the rules of the house
Marking the movements of employees classified as suspects under investigation
Maintaining security and order within the hotel premises in dealing with criminals, trespassers or difficult personalities
Keeping the security manager and the assistant security manager informed of all matters of security importance affecting the hotel and management.
Conduct periodic and periodic checks and take immediate follow-up actions on all systems including the CCTV system.
Attending meetings and in-service training conducted by the department
The CCTV system operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As such, the CCTV operator will be required to operate on a shift basis to provide full coverage of the system.

– At least 2 years experience and similar ability in a 5-star hotel
Knowledge of the operation of the CCTV system
– DPS CCTV Player License
