CBB’s Monthly Issue of Treasury Bills oversubscribed by 203%

Manama, August 24 (BNA) The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that it has oversubscribed in issuing government treasury bills at a value of 35 million Bahraini dinars per month by 203%.

Bills of exchange due within 182 days are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.

The date of issue of the bills is August 28, and the due date is February 26, 2023.

The weighted average interest rate was 4.02% compared to 3.98% for the previous issue on July 31.

The approximate average issue price was 98.007%, and the lowest acceptable price was 97.872%.

This is Issue No. 1927 (ISIN BH0001F302I2) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of government treasury bills is BD 2.010 billion.
