Manama, Jan. 4 (BNA) The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that the monthly issuance of short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Ijara Sukuk, has exceeded the subscription by 628%.
Subscriptions of BD 163 million have been received for the BD 26 million issue which matures within 182 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on January 6 and matures on July 7, is 1.65% compared to 1.63% for the previous issue on December 9, 2021.
Ijara sukuk are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.
