Manama, April 4 (BNA): The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that the monthly issuance of short-term Islamic leasing bonds, the Ijarah Sukuk, was oversubscribed by 551%.
Subscriptions of BD 143.313 million were received for the BD 26 million issue which has a maturity of 182 days.
The expected yield on the issue, which commences on April 6th and matures on October 5th, is 6.00% compared to 6.13 for the previous issue on March 9th.
Ijara sukuk are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.
