CBB Sukuk Al Ijara oversubscribed by 188%

Manama, October 4 (BNA) The Central Bank of Bahrain announced the monthly issuance of short-term Islamic leasing bonds “Sukuk Ijarah”, which exceeded the subscription rate by 188%.

Subscriptions of BD 48.857 million have been received for the BD 26 million issue with a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on October 6 and matures on April 6, 2023, is 4.70% compared to 3.95% for the previous issue on September 8.

Ijara Sukuk are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.
