Manama, October 4 (BNA) The Bahrain Association of Banks held a meeting on the implementation plan of the national campaign to raise awareness of the various digital frauds targeting clients of financial and banking institutions.
The campaign will be launched in partnership with the Central Bank of Bahrain, the General Anti-Corruption Department in the field of economic and electronic security, the Communications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and members of the association in the financial sector.
“The national campaign is an essential part of BAB’s strategy to educate financial sector clients on ways to protect themselves from cybercrime. The campaign also plays an important role in keeping the Kingdom of Bahrain among the advanced countries in the field of cybersecurity as a critical component. Dr. Waheed Al Qassim, CEO of Bank Al Qassim, said Bahrain and Kuwait, one of the pillars of progress in the development of digital banking services.
“We commend our partners in the public and private sectors for joining us in this effort, which is an extension of a previous campaign launched by BAB. Currently, we will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of our initiatives to ensure that they reach their desired goals.”
The head of the Corporate Communication and Marketing Committee at Bab Al Bahrain, Hisham Abu Al-Fath, stressed the need to diversify the campaign’s promotion channels to reach the widest possible target audience in Bahrain.
The campaign will include awareness messages through videos and photos that will be published on BAB’s Instagram and all social media channels of banks and financial institutions in addition to other media platforms across the Kingdom. We will also organize a number of remote seminars with partners and specialists in order to learn about the latest private data. issues of financial fraud and piracy and ways to combat them.
