Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA) The Bahrain Bourse (BHB), a self-regulating multi-asset market, held the awards ceremony and graduation ceremony for the first edition of the Capital Markets Professional Training Program in the presence of Abdul Karim Bujairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Bourse.
At the graduation ceremony, eight trainees who completed the six-month training program were honored.
In line with Bahrain Bourse’s strategic objectives of enhancing market knowledge and investor awareness, the Capital Markets Professional Training Program, an on-the-job training program, has been launched to provide young Bahraini graduates with hands-on experience in the capital markets sector. It stems directly from Bahrain Bourse’s firm belief in promoting investor education and instilling financial knowledge among different age groups.
“We are pleased with the success of our first capital markets apprenticeship program, and we look forward to future cohorts. We would like to lead graduates with their achievements during our intensive six-month internship, and we are confident that these trainees have broadened and improved their knowledge of the capital markets sector, and gained practical insight into the capital market ecosystem. . This cohort of graduates represents the first among many capital market vocational training graduates who will go on to become future business leaders,” Narges Jamal, chief operating officer of BHB.
“We would also like to express our gratitude to the members of the Board of Directors and the executive management of all listed companies, as well as the participating institutions who contributed to the success of the Capital Markets Professional Training Program by providing the trainees with the opportunity to have round table discussions with key capital market decision makers.
The six-month intensive training provides participants with the opportunity to learn from and interact with key decision-makers in the capital market, enhance their knowledge of the capital market, and gain practical experience by gaining a comprehensive understanding of Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear operations. In addition, the program also provides trainees with the necessary skills to launch their careers in the capital markets. The program consists of a combination of on-the-job training as well as theoretical learning within a classroom environment.
Moreover, it complements the financial awareness programs of Bahrain Bourse, which aims to reach a wider section of society.
