Cabinet Affairs Undersecretary receives UN officials

Manama, October 19 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, received the Regional Director of the United Nations Development Coordination Office, Laila Bakr, the Acting Resident Coordinator for the Activities of the United Nations and the International Organization for Migration, Bahrain. Head of Mission, Mohammed Al-Zarkan, and Asmara Al-Ashkar, head of the UN Resident Coordinator’s office team.

The Undersecretary of the Cabinet affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance cooperation with the United Nations in various fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the efforts of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This has led the Kingdom to great achievements in sustainable urban development and raising the standard of living in support of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the government’s action plan 2019-2022.

The Director General praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting the activities and programs of the United Nations in the Arab countries and the world.

She also commended Bahrain’s efforts in promoting joint international action aimed at supporting development in the Arab region.
