As a Business Development Manager focused on Market Segment Account, you will focus on multiple primary accounts within a market segment, directing global accounts strategy, careful account planning, and developing relationships across the client(s) organization.

the opportunity

As part of the core account team, reporting to the business development leader in the region and with close contact with some of the senior leaders of EY (Global Customer Service Partners – also called GCPS), you will focus your time on Go to Market activities to enable target fulfillment around account satisfaction and sales/pipeline And the margin.

Your main responsibilities

– Drives revenue, sales and relationships on a multi-core account
Being connected to your client’s business agenda and leveraging EY’s global network to connect our clients with the right people
– Insight by proactively sharing relevant metrics, trends and strategies to meet and reach customer needs
Advise GCSP on account planning, strategy and management of key sales opportunities
Facilitate client sessions – eg client supervised sessions, alliance introductions, exploratory workshops, etc.
– Helping to develop broad and deep relationships with clients
Act as a strategic advisor to the GCSP on cross-selling our services, sales pipeline implementation, deal review, pricing and negotiations
Engage with account teams in the field to support their most important endeavours
Leverage and drive strategic pursuits tools, which include EY’s sales tools, processes, and methodologies
Inculcate a trading methodology/pricing strategy to improve account margin and participate in the transaction review process as required

Success skills and attributes

Must be able to work within a matrix organization to balance client needs with company initiatives and goals
– Communicate with C Suite buyers/influencers, assess their needs and build a relationship to ensure EY is the preferred provider
Being responsive and accountable for the entire account activity from improving relationships and initiating new connections strengthening EY’s top priority within our primary accounts and any other activations required.
Strong ability to focus on business outcomes that align with our clients’ interests
Passionate about collaboration, teamwork and the exchange of best practices.

To qualify you must have

– 6+ years of experience in penetrating new businesses and managing existing accounts
Demonstrable negotiation and influence skills
Experience in providing business development support in complex multi-country environments
Worked on formal bidding processes and procedures and was part of the compilation of exceptional criteria for proposals
Recognize senior leaders, both internally and externally, and present examples of needs assessment and focus on mutually beneficial solutions
Get to know and understand working with people of many cultures and diversity
Experience working in the GPS sector

Ideally, you will also have

– Business/commercial degree or postgraduate studies.
Experience in budgeting and account forecasting.
Experience in people management and development.
Great knowledge of market activities.
Good business background relevant to experience.
