BRCS raises awareness of first aid importance

Manama, November 9 (BNA) The Bahrain Red Crescent Society participated in the exhibition accompanying the DLS 7 International Conference and Exhibition, which was held under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel over a period of three days. days.

During their participation in this exhibition, the association’s volunteers provided visitors with basic information on first aid and how to provide it to those in need when necessary and in the right way.

The volunteers also provided theoretical information about fractures, burns, nosebleeds, heat stroke, unconscious examination and other situations that require rapid first aid intervention, as well as an explanation of the contents of the first aid kit and other related topics.

Ms. Fatima Abdullah, Vice-Chairman of the First Aid Committee, said that this participation reflects the keenness of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society to spread awareness in various health fields, including the field of first aid, which is necessary for relief and humanitarian work in Bahrain. In general, raising public awareness of the importance and how to provide support to those in need when accidents or disasters occur.

Mrs. Abdullah expressed the Society’s keenness to expand the provision of first aid training services to include more entities in Bahrain from government and private institutions, and to increase the number of Bahrainis who received qualitative training in this field, and are able to provide it first. Helping those who need it in the event of an emergency in any place such as the family, work or the street.
