Our client is a holding company in Bahrain and they are currently looking for a box office assistant to be based in Bahrain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operating and assisting at any ticket selling points in order to provide an efficient and productive reservation system to the public.
• To operate the phones and the main keyboard.
• To ensure comprehensive knowledge of events in the Art Depot to enable the box office to provide the best possible customer service.
• Actively seek in-depth knowledge of the computerized in-place box office system and online sales technology.
• To ensure that records are maintained and accurate in ticketing systems.
• Contribute to the management of the department, ensuring that information is updated and well organized.
• To support the administrative needs of other departments, within reason, and as instructed by the Visitor Services Manager.
• To be responsible for all cash, check and card transactions made by the box office.
• Maintaining good communication with internal and external clients.
• Handle any customer service issues that may occur, whether in person, over the phone or via email, in a professional manner.
• Seeking continuous improvements in customer service by providing positive suggestions for change.
• Liaise with all departments to ensure essential information is passed and good communication is maintained at all times.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Previous experience in the same or similar role.
• A friendly and affectionate personality.
• An energetic, creative team member with a high level of enthusiasm.
• Diplomatic and negotiation skills with the ability to work with initiative and maturity.
• Excellent computer skills, including a good understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous experience in cash handling procedures.
