Booker scores 24 points; Suns beat Mavs for 10th straight

Phoenix Nov. 18 (BUS): Devin Booker scored 24 points, Dunder Eaton 19 points and 13 rebounds, and the Phoenix Suns achieved their winning streak to 10 games, by defeating the Dallas Mavericks 105-98 on Wednesday evening.

Chris Paul drove to the basket and was about to fall before he found Eaton in the dunk and lead 100-96 with 1:27 left. Paul received seven assists in the fourth quarter and finished with 14 assists, the Associated Press reports.

Poker hit a long 3 pointer with the shot clock expiring 50 seconds before it closed. The Suns scored 37 points in an excellent fourth quarter.

Dallas has lost for the second time in its last seven games. The Mavericks played their first game of the season without star goalkeeper Luka Doncic, who sprained his left knee and ankle in the closing moments of their victory over Denver on Monday.

Even without the best player, the balanced Mavericks almost won. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 22 points, Christaps Porzingis added 21 and Galen Bruson 18.

The match was tough throughout, although the Mavericks usually had a slight advantage. Booker gave the Suns their first lead in the fourth quarter at 87-86 when he stopped the ball with 5:32 left.

Dallas led 73-68 in the fourth quarter after Trey Burke fired a straight shot before the start of the third quarter.

The Mavericks lead 46-45 in the first half. Booker scored 15 points for the Suns, and Eaton added 10 points and eight rebounds. Porzingis was 14 years old.
