BIBF announces revamp of Islamic finance levy courses

Manama, July 19 (BNA) The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), the region’s leading training and development institution, has announced the renewal of Islamic finance offers to taxpayers, which are now structured from end to end. Strategic levels with specialization tracks based on accurate certifications that demonstrate specialized skills and knowledge. These specialization tracks include Islamic Banking Operations; investment and capital markets; As well as forensic audit and compliance.

Islamic finance tax courses are now accredited by both UK CPD and AAOIFI CPD. Through the Learning Management System (LMS), candidates who take these courses will have access to BIBF AAOIFI’s e-learning platform (iStandards). From August onwards, all candidates will also have access to the e-learning platform of the UNDP Sustainability Program and the Islamic Development Bank for Islamic Banks.

On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Al Sheikh, Director of the BIBF Institute stated that the relaunch of these courses comes in line with the strategic direction of the Institute to prepare a well-qualified workforce in Islamic finance to facilitate the rapid growth of the industry, and to enhance it. A leading position in Islamic training and education at the regional and global levels.

On his part, Mr. Mojtaba Khalid, Head of the Islamic Finance Center at BIBF, explained that the renewed courses will be offered by industry experts which will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about the industry across a range of levels starting from introductory level to specialist in everything related to Islamic finance.

The BIBF has long been at the forefront of training and development in the Islamic finance industry, having established its first professional qualification in Islamic finance in 1997 to promote the growth of the Islamic banking community at the local, regional and international level, with a global presence.
