BHB kicks-off 4th Smart Investor Programme in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain

Manama, November 20 (BNA) The Bahrain Bourse (BHB), a self-regulating multi-asset market, has officially announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Smart Investor Program, which targets primary students as part of the curriculum. Academic year 2021-2022.

Smart Investor Program workshops will be held in 70 schools. Teachers and volunteers will target more than 5,000 students in the fourth grade of primary school during the school year, targeting public and private institutions.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse commented: “We are pleased to launch the fourth edition of the Smart Investor Program in cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain. The program reflects the strategic efforts of Bahrain Bourse to enhance investment awareness by providing a combination of financial awareness, knowledge, skills, behaviors and behaviors necessary to take Sound financial decisions. The program, over the past three years, has demonstrated the importance of the knowledge and concepts students learned during the program and we are therefore pleased to see the program implemented as part of the curriculum for the first time this year.”

Launched in 2018, the Smart Investor Program is a national awareness program in cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain targeting primary school students. The program aims to provide young students with basic concepts related to money management, savings and smart financial planning through interactive educational and recreational activities in order to help them make sound financial decisions.

The program consists of seven themed sessions designed to provide students with the following concepts: Think, Determine, Plan, Do, Save, Advance, and Evaluate.

For the first time, the Smart Investor Program will launch a national challenge for participants in order to increase participation and encourage students to participate by applying what they have learned during the program.
