BDF General Command invites civilians to join Reserve Force

Manama, September 17 (BNA) The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force has called on civilians to volunteer to join the reserve force as part of the first phase.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said in its statement that the relatives of military, civilian and retired personnel from the Bahrain Defense Force and the National Guard are eligible for registration.

Applicants must register on the BDF website using the following link: https://www.bdf.bh, provided that:

1- Bahrainis.

2- Their ages range between 18 and 55 years. However, technicians and specialists are exempt from the upper age limit requirement.

3- He should be of good conduct and behavior and not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or dishonesty.

4- Medically fit for military service in the reserve force, and pass the medical examination stipulated in the system of military medical committees of the Bahrain Defense Force.

5- Submit a volunteer application on the form on the website.

In its statement, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force affirmed that contributing to the defense of the homeland and maintaining its security, stability and territorial integrity is a sacred national duty and honor for citizens. The Reserve Force Law, promulgated by Legislative Decree No. (5) of 1987 and the regulations and instructions issued thereunder, regulate all the rights and duties of the Reserve Force as an auxiliary force for the Bahrain Defense Force, and guarantee the benefits and entitlements arising therefrom.

The General Command confirmed that during the first phase, volunteering will be limited to citizens who are relatives of members of the Bahrain Defense Force, the National Guard, the military, civilians and retirees. While the second phase will announce the opening of volunteering for the rest of the social groups (males and females).
