Manama, October 12 (BNA) The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored the winners of the Bahrain Food Excellence Award 2021 in its third edition, dedicated to locally manufactured food and beverage products sold within the Kingdom.
The award consists of three categories: organizations, start-ups and productive families. Amalfi, Café Vedge, and E momken won the award in each category respectively.
Samir Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of the award in strengthening the food sector and attracting local and foreign investments, stressing the importance of the food industry in increasing food security in Bahrain.
He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to support initiatives in all sectors, especially the food industries, as one of the promising sectors that will contribute to improving the Bahraini economy.
Paying attention to the quality of the national product and updating it in accordance with international quality requirements will contribute to enhancing Bahrain’s commercial reputation and promoting these products at the global level. As well as attracting local and international investors.
The President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed his appreciation to those who organized the event and 49 food establishments who worked hard on the quality of their local products and reflected aspirations to reach the world by meeting international requirements.
The number of participants in the award reached 49, of whom 9 are eligible for the award. The head of the Food Wealth Committee, Khaled Al-Amin, added that the winner of the first place will get the opportunity to put the award’s logo on his products for two years.
It is noteworthy that the award for the category of institutions is 5000 dinars, while the prize for the category of startups and productive families is 2500 dinars.
