BAS Equal Opportunities Committee holds first meeting

Manama, September 20 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) held the first meeting of the Equal Opportunities Committee, headed by Eng. Mohamed Khalil, CEO of BAS.

The committee aims to set and develop policies and procedures, implement strategies and adopt initiatives to achieve gender equality within the organization.

The meeting focused mainly on the agenda set by the Committee’s secretariat.

Committee members discussed the operational procedures of their initiatives and the importance of achieving the committee’s objectives, including integrating the needs of working women within the company.

The committee also reviewed the agenda of its next meeting, which will be held periodically.

BAS is committed to empowering women as part of its belief in the importance of enhancing the role of women in the organization, while enabling them to achieve success and excellence by creating an institutional framework focused on justice and equal opportunities. The framework ensures the implementation of women’s needs in the work environment, such as the adoption of a flexible work system for female employees that balances family life and work.
