The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure chairs the weekly Cabinet Meeting

Manama, September 5 (BNA) His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, chaired the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet highlighted the importance of the official talks held in Paris between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, which indicate the two countries’ joint commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

The Cabinet expressed its gratitude to His Majesty the King for his directives to continue improving education services in the Kingdom, and for the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to arrange a parenting day to be held by the public. Schools, to familiarize parents and guardians with educational and administrative bodies.

In the introductory, parents and guardians were also given a file with information about the new school year, which facilitated preparation for personal re-education in all educational institutions.

The Cabinet commended the positive response of parents and guardians to this initiative, and praised the efforts of the Ministry of Education and educational and academic bodies through government schools to ensure the success of the induction day for parents. In this regard, the Council reviewed a memorandum submitted by the Minister of Education regarding the procedures of the induction day.

In celebration of the International Day of Charitable Activities, the Council of Ministers affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to adopt initiatives that provide humanitarian relief, to be a model to be emulated internationally.

During the meeting, the Council of Ministers discussed several memoranda with the following results:

Agree to the following notes:

1 – Memorandum of the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding an agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Tajikistan regarding exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports.

2- A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the government’s response to four proposals and law proposals submitted by the House of Representatives.

The council also reviewed the following topics:

1. Memorandum of the Minister of Labor on the outputs of the ban on summer work in 2022 which identified a decrease in work accidents and an increase in productivity.

Then the Council took note of several ministerial reports related to the results of the meetings of the Executive Committee of the International Bureau of Education of UNESCO, the visit of the French Republic, participation in the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Forum, and a visit to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
