Barnes’ equalizer earns point for Leicester at Leeds

London, November 7 (BUS): Harvey Barnes scored a superb first-half equalizer as Leicester held their ground to secure a 1-1 draw against promoted Leeds in the Premier League on Sunday.

Barnes provided a fine touch for Leirling as Leicester responded immediately after Leeds made a deserved lead on Elland Road with a Raphinha free kick in the 26th minute, according to the Associated Press.

Leeds had enough chances as they sought back-to-back league victories for the first time this season, while Leicester defender Ricardo Pereira stabbed his roster in the first half.

Ravenha jumped Leeds into a deserved lead when his free kick bounced into Kasper Schmeichel’s far post, but the home side’s advantage was short-lived.

Right from the start of the second half, Barnes cut inside from the left and, after transferring the ball to his right foot, curled the ball behind Ilan Meslier and in the upper corner.
