Bahrain’s National Gender Balance Model highlighted

Riyadh, November 9 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, said that the Kingdom of Bahrain has begun to transfer its approach to promoting gender balance to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This step was announced amid great Saudi interest in advancing the status of women and enhancing their integration into public affairs and the labor market and their contribution to development.

The Saudi Institute of Public Administration (IPA) recently revealed a plan to establish a center to promote gender balance in Saudi Arabia.

In this regard, the Saudi Institute of Public Administration invited the Supreme Council for Women to provide an overview of the national gender balance model in Bahrain.

Al-Ansari’s statements came during a seminar held by the Center for Gender Balance, opposite the Institute of Public Administration, under the slogan “Bahrain’s Approach to Women’s Advancement and Gender Balance”. The two sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding in this regard.

The delegation of the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari, participated in the symposium, in the presence of the Director General of the Institute, Dr. Bandar bin Asaad Al-Sajan, and the Director-General of Gender Balance, Dr. Sarah Jaza Misfer Al-Otaibi.

Saudi officials and experts specialized in public administration, gender balance and follow-up to the implementation of Saudi Vision 2030 also participated in the forum.

The delegation of the Supreme Council for Women delivered a speech at the event, highlighting Bahrain’s multi-stage approach to enhancing the status of women and achieving gender balance.

Ansari stressed the importance. Cooperation to exchange experiences between the two countries to integrate women into reform and modernization projects and to enhance their contribution to development.

She stressed the steps Bahrain has taken since the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women twenty years ago, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of His Majesty the King.

She commended the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish a center aimed at developing strategies to promote gender balance through the Saudi Institute of Public Administration.
