Brussels, February 9 (BNA): Bahrain Ambassador Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jaber Al-Dosari, the Belgian ambassador to Belgium, received the Senior Adviser of the European Institute of Peace Mohammed Al-Farwani Patrick de Vries.
He also received the Senior Program Officer at the Institute, Jimmy Bledel Boveri, in the presence of the Second Secretary at the Embassy, Ibtisam Khalifa Bahr.
Ambassador Al-Dosari praised the Institute, which focuses on finding the appropriate channels to promote the concepts of mediation and create a common ground for dialogue and peace building, through the Institute’s contribution to a number of regional issues and the activation of the so-called Track 1.5 of the diplomatic tracks.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to adhere to its balanced foreign policy approach based on the pillars of regional and international peace and security, and to support sustainable development goals through regional and international strategic partnerships.
Al-Farwani and Dofris valued the role played by Bahrain in laying the foundations for security, peace and development in the region, and gave a detailed presentation on the Institute’s efforts in the past period and its aspirations to build bridges of sustainable cooperation.
