Bahrain’s Ambassador hails cooperation with the UK

London, September 22 (BNA) The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa held a meeting with MP Tom Tugendhat, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee in the United Kingdom, and they discussed issues of common interest and regional and international developments.

The ambassador stressed the importance of enhancing joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in all fields, including trade exchange and investments.

He highlighted Bahrain’s role as the current chair of the Gulf Cooperation Council session in promoting trade and investment cooperation between the Gulf states and the United Kingdom.

MP Tugendhat praised Bahrain’s support for evacuations from Afghanistan and relief shipments for the Afghan people, describing the kingdom as a partner in international humanitarian solidarity.

He also praised the steps taken by the Bahraini in combating the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), which ranked the Kingdom among the leading countries that responded quickly to the epidemic.
