Bahraini wins third place in Quran recitation international competition

Riyadh, April 21 (BNA) The Bahraini reciter, Muhammad Mujahid, won the one million riyals ($266,600) prize for winning third place in the international competition for reciting the Holy Quran and calling for the Attar of Kalam prayer.


Moroccan contestant Younes Mustafa Gharbi won first place in the Holy Quran recitation category, receiving a prize of 5 million riyals ($1,333,300), while British contestant Muhammad Ayoub Asif won two million riyals ($530,500) for obtaining the position. The second, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). .


In the Azan category, Turkish contestants Muhsin Kara and Albijan Celik came first and second. Kara won first place and received two million riyals ($533,200), while Celik won second place and received one million riyals ($266,600). The Saudi contestant, Abdul Rahman bin Adel, won the third place, who won 500,000 riyals ($133,300), while the other Saudi contestant, Anas Al-Rahili, won the fourth place and won 250 thousand riyals ($66,650).


The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al-Sheikh, honored the winners and presented them with valuable prizes allocated for the most beautiful voices in reciting the Noble Qur’an and supplication. The total value of the prizes is 12 million riyals ($3.2 million).


Al-Sheikh announced the continuation of the competition for the next year, with different numbers of contestants from different countries around the world, of which the current competition was attended by skilled participants in reciting the Noble Qur’an and delivering the call to prayer.
