Bahraini delegation meets IAEA Director-General in Vienna

Vienna, September 30 (BNA): The delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in the sixty-sixth regular annual session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which was held here from September 26 to 30, 2022 under the permanent chairmanship. The Kingdom’s representative to the Agency, Ambassador Dr. Youssef Abdel Karim Bucheeri, met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi.

The ambassador praised the constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the International Atomic Energy Agency, through technical cooperation and capacity-building programs that contributed to achieving sustainable development goals.

The ambassador expressed his sincere thanks to the Director General, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, for their follow-up to the region’s issues in the nuclear field, especially the Iranian nuclear program, as this file is directly related. For the security, safety and stability of the world.

Rafael Grossi expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s keenness to implement all technical requirements, praising the list of support provided and its encouraging achievements, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
