Bahraini ambassador to Singapore participates in G3, G20 Troika meeting

Manama, May 5 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Singapore, residing in Bangkok, Mona Abbas Mahmoud Radhi, participated in the third edition of the Global Governance Group (G3) and the G20 Troika, which is chaired by Singapore Foreign Affairs. Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.

During the meeting, multilateralism was emphasized as a necessity to address common challenges facing all countries. It was also indicated that there is an urgent need to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, intensify efforts to address climate change, benefit from digital transformation for development, and affirm the group’s support for India’s presidency of the G20.

Singapore created the 30-member Global Governance Group in 2009 to serve as a bridge between the G-20 and the wider UN members.
