Bahraini Ambassador to Britain follows up on GCC free trade negotiations with UK

London, July 14 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa presided over the side of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the first meeting of the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with the British Minister of International Trade. Anne-Marie Trevelyan, on the free trade negotiations between the two sides, in the presence of the British chief negotiator, Tom Wintel, and several senior officials.

The two sides discussed the latest developments and ongoing negotiations on the free trade agreement between the GCC countries and the United Kingdom, and the expected economic gains for both sides, in terms of activating trade and investments, supporting small and medium enterprises, and cooperation and joint exchange. Experiences in the areas of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, education, financial services, renewable energy and other advantages.

The ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the UK’s Minister for Foreign Trade witnessed a British military musical performance dating back to the 17th century that takes place every two years.
