Bahraini Ambassador in Berlin participates in 25th Arab-German Business Forum

Berlin, June 28 (BNA) The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Berlin, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations and exchange experiences with the Federal Republic of Germany in line with the comprehensive development process. The ambassador expressed his pride in participating in a dialogue session within the 25th Arab-German Business Forum, which marks the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. A number of senior officials also participated in it.


In his speech before the forum, the ambassador praised the economic and social achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of the development vision of His Majesty the King, and the unlimited support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The ambassador touched on the importance of enhancing trade and investment cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany and benefiting from the opportunities available in the Kingdom’s business-friendly environment.


He said that one of the most prominent features of Bahrain’s economic policy is the encouragement of foreign investments. He stressed the keenness to strengthen the economic partnership with Germany in the financial services sector, industry, transportation, education, health care, real estate, tourism, information and communication technology, and in the logistical field. He praised the Economic Development Board’s support for these initiatives, as it is the body responsible for attracting investments in coordination with the government, the private sector and investors.

The ambassador also reviewed promising and new opportunities for cooperation with Germany in the field of green energy, hydrogen, renewable energy and energy efficiency. He praised the affirmation of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, at the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) in Glasgow, that the Kingdom pledged to reach zero neutrality in 2060 in order to meet the challenges of climate change, protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions.


At the conclusion of his speech, the ambassador stressed that the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the Kingdom’s most important economic partners within the European Union, noting the importance of strengthening cooperation in the transfer of knowledge and technology between the two countries. Develop commercial and economic relations to serve common interests.
