Bahrain wins second place in 17th Algiers International Quran Recitation Prize

Manama, February 28 (BNA): Bahrain wins second place in the 17th Algeria International Prize for Reciting the Noble Qur’an.


The competition was held by default, and the Bahraini contestant, Yahya Bilal Yousef, won the entire Holy Qur’an memorization branch with intonation and interpretation.


The Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Taher Al-Qattan, expressed his pride in the honorable positions achieved by Bahraini contestants in international Quranic competitions, which are added to the Kingdom’s record of achievements in this field.


This year’s edition witnessed the participation of 49 contestants from various Arab and Islamic countries, and it is considered one of the distinguished Quranic competitions in the world.


The contestant was honored at a ceremony in Algiers, in the presence of the Algerian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments.
