Bahrain welcomes UN Security Council’s designation of three Houthi leaders for sanctions

Manama, November 17 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the imposition of sanctions on the United Nations Security Council against three leaders of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia for their direct threat to peace, security and stability in Yemen.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its hope that this classification would contribute to putting an end to the activities of the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters, stopping the growth of the terrorist organization and providing it with missiles, drones, weapons and funds. To finance operations targeting civilians.

The ministry also expressed its hope to stop the Houthi group’s attacks on Saudi Arabia, put an end to the bloodshed of the Yemeni people and the threats to international navigation and neighboring countries.

The Ministry renewed Bahrain’s continuous support for Yemen and its legitimate government, and affirmed its solidarity with all international efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
