Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, received US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Stephen C. Bondy.
Al-Saleh praised the strong relations and cooperation between Bahrain and the United States, especially in trade, investment, economy, security and culture.
Ambassador Bondi expressed his pride in the depth of the Bahraini-American relations, stressing that joint ties are strengthened by the leadership of the two countries, mutual visits, and keenness to expand cooperation and support common interests.
The ambassador praised the openness, coexistence and tolerance in Bahrain and the Kingdom’s initiatives to promote the values of dialogue.
He praised the historical visits made by His Holiness the Pope and His Eminence Al-Azhar, Sheikh of Al-Azhar.
