Bahrain-US cooperation in oil, environment field discussed

Sharm El-Sheikh, Nov. 16 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, met with Brad Crabtree, Assistant Secretary of the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management. The US Department of Energy to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of oil and the environment.


The meeting was held on the sidelines of the twenty-seventh conference of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27) held in Sharm El-Sheikh.


The Minister of Oil and Environment welcomed the American official, praising the strong partnership between Bahrain and the United States. He stressed the importance of meetings with the competent authorities in the field of energy to benefit from their expertise and provide investment opportunities for the benefit of all.


Mr. Brad Crabtree reviewed the department’s current and future programs and projects and discussed a number of issues related to the field of oil and the environment. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Bin Dinah for the warm reception, praising the results of the meeting and the steady growth of the energy and environment sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
