Manama, November 2 (BNA) The 16th meeting of the Bahraini-British Working Group for Human Rights was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by the Head of Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Arwa Al-Sayed and his deputy. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Stuart Summers, in the presence of the Deputy Ombudsman Ghada Hamed Habib, and the Head of the Alternative Sanctions Division at the Ministry of Interior Jassim Jaber Al-Dosari. Dr. Arwa affirmed the close friendship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, reviewing ways to strengthen these relations at all levels, praising the holding of this periodic meeting, which comes within the framework of cooperation in the protection of human rights.

The British Deputy Ambassador praised the existing cooperation in various fields, foremost of which is human rights, and praised the recent steps taken by the Kingdom in the field of human rights and the issuance of the alternative penal law.
