Labour Minister praises company’s Bahraini sation policy

Manama, Mar. 4 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan paid a visit to the Bahrain Aluminum Extrusions Company (BALEXCO), during which he met with its Chairman, Jassim Muhammad Siyadi, and a number of officials.

Balexo was the first aluminum extrusion plant in the Persian Gulf. With the main activity of producing aluminum extrusion products, BALEXCO has taken the lead in the region, in the production of high quality extrusions and systems, mainly used as aluminum doors and window frames and other products required in the construction industry.

The visit comes as part of a series of visits to companies and institutions that support the ministry’s initiatives and programs in the field of employing national competencies.

The minister was briefed on the company’s efforts and plans to employ national competencies in all its departments.

He met a number of newly appointed Bahraini employees, as part of its plan to raise the Bahrainization rate to 58%.

Balexo employed 24 Bahrainis in 2020 in various technical and supervisory positions, and plans to employ a similar number in 2023, in line with its ongoing goals to attract qualified Bahrainis.

While meeting with Bahrainis working in the company, the minister listened to their professional success stories, career advancement, and access to senior positions in the company.

He praised the success of the Bahraini workforce in various productive sectors, stressing that qualified Bahrainis guarantee the success of companies and economic and commercial institutions.

Siyadi affirmed the company’s keenness to implement its plan aimed at employing more Bahraini cadres and developing their professional capabilities, out of its belief in the great role played by the national manpower.

He expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Labor for its role in launching many initiatives to qualify and employ Bahraini youth.
