Bahrain, Turkmenistan hold third round of political consultations

Manama, June 14 (BNA) The third round of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Turkmenistan was held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was headed by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Berdinaz Matyev.


During the meeting, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs praised the close and growing friendship between the two countries and the progress made at various levels thanks to the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov.


The two sides reviewed the strong relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and ways to enhance them through exchanging official visits and activating more than 13 signed agreements and memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the political, economic, social and cultural fields. Scientific, technical and sports fields.


The meeting also shed light on joint coordination in regional and international forums within the framework of a common interest in consolidating the values ​​of tolerance dialogue, promoting regional and international security and peace, and supporting sustainable development.


For his part, the Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s pride in the distinguished historical relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the common interest in developing them in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
