Bahrain to host Conference of Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network

Baku, July 1 (BNA) The First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamal Muhammad Fakhro, on behalf of the Speaker of the Shura Council and the Speaker of Parliament, welcomed the convening of the next meeting of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement Conference. In Bahrain, on the sidelines of the 146th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which the Kingdom will host in March 2023.

Fakhro affirmed his keenness to make the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement Conference a success and achieve its goals.

Jamal Fakhro, while addressing the Conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the title “Strengthening the Role of National Parliaments in Promoting Global Peace and Sustainable Development”, affirmed the Kingdom’s full support for the Union’s goals. The Non-Aligned Movement, which he said seeks to protect world peace and security.

He stressed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, seeks to enhance cooperation and teamwork between various countries to enhance the pillars of security and stability around the world.

The First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council affirmed that the Kingdom supports the realization of the concept of peaceful coexistence between different countries and peoples, adherence to the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of others, and staying away from hostile policies that would destabilize regional and global security, in line with the founding principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, praising the role Important for the movement in meeting the challenges of peace, security and sustainable development.

He renewed his commitment to support the Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen, in a manner that preserves security and stability in brotherly Yemen.
