Bahrain set to mark Arab Orphan Day

Manama, April 6 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain will celebrate tomorrow, April 7, the Arab Orphan Day, which falls annually on the first Friday of next April.

The Ministry of Social Development praised the care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for orphaned children in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In today’s statement, she noted the support and follow-up of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the affairs of orphaned children.

The statement stressed the Ministry’s social, health, psychological and educational care for orphaned children under Law No. 18 of 2008 regarding social insurance.

The Ministry celebrates the Arab Orphan Day annually, and develops programs and events within the community partnership and in cooperation with civil society institutions and relevant authorities.
