Bahrain-Saudi relations stressed

Sharm El-Sheikh, November 13 (BNA) The Minister of Oil and Environment met with the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dina, Saudi Arabia’s climate envoy and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir on the sidelines of the 27th day’s activities. Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27).

Bin Dina stressed the Bahraini-Saudi historical relations, which reflect the level of successful cooperation in all fields thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The minister praised Saudi Arabia’s green Middle East initiative aimed at protecting the environment and facing climate challenges, and stressed Bahrain’s support.

He referred to Bahrain’s declaration that it will not be neutral by 2060.

Al-Jubeir stressed the bilateral relations in various fields, pointing to the importance of exchanging information and experiences to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
