Muscat, May 3 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Surra Eshki, participated in the 39th meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Youth and Sports in the GCC countries.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman, Basil bin Ahmed Al-Rawas, chaired the preparatory meeting for the thirty-sixth meeting of the GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports.
The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, including the decision issued by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council in December 2022 in Riyadh regarding enhancing joint work towards digital transformation and modern technologies.
The undersecretaries reviewed the visions of the GCC ministries of youth and sports on ways to enhance joint Gulf action in the field of youth, stressing the need to continue putting forward proposals and initiatives aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in this regard.
They also discussed the launch of the joint Gulf Humanitarian Volunteer Work Program for the year 2023, and the GCC Youth Day scheduled to be celebrated on June 6.
