Bahrain participates in 90th General Session of World Organization for Animal Health

Paris, June 5 (BNA): Bahrain participated in the 90th session of the World Assembly of Delegates, which was held by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in France.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Fajer Al-Salloum, Bahrain’s delegate to WOAH and Chairman of the Regional Committee for the Middle East.

The Animal Health Forum was organized to discuss avian influenza, an animal disease that has affected all regions of the world over the past years, especially during the period 2022-2023.

The conference came out with recommendations, including discussing the strategic challenges of using and implementing science-based disease control strategies, as well as agreeing on key success factors for developing global control of avian influenza.

The representative of Bahrain presented the organization’s general budget report for 2022 in his capacity as a member of the organization’s council to face the challenges that stand in the way of the organization’s development.
