Bahrain-Pakistan parliamentary friendship stressed

Islamabad, November 18 (BNA) The Bahraini-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Committee held a meeting to discuss strengthening cooperation in the fields of defense, security, economy and investment between the House of Representatives and the Pakistani National Assembly.

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives, Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to consolidate bilateral relations in various fields in line with His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Efforts to meet the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The two sides stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty of states and non-interference in the affairs of others, in accordance with mutual respect and international laws and treaties.

They affirmed their keenness to preserve the security of the Arabian Gulf and maritime navigation, especially in light of the recent unfortunate events.
